Hannah Rumsey
Actor / improvisor
Hey, I’m
ABOUT
Hannah’s childhood was probably like every-other-actor in that she forced her parents to watch her do (really bad) plays from the age of three.
After receiving bachelor degrees in Psychology and Music, Hannah got extensive training in improv comedy at The iO Theater and CiC in Chicago, and The Meisner Technique at Green Shirt Studio. (And clowning at The Newport Theater, which lets her be as silly and goofy as her little heart desires.)
Her favorite pastimes include podcasting, scavenging the neighborhood Little Free Libraries, and smiling at other people’s dogs.
Hannah’s local hires include Chicago and Richmond, VA.
REELS & VOICEOVER
“Hannah Rumsey’s play, 42 Days of Summer, was the best theater I saw all year. A deeply moving coming-of-age story of friendship, love, loss, grief. It’s so well told, I was riveted to my seat.”
Looking for a high-pitched sweet-like-a-fairy voice? I’m not the one for you. But I’ve been told I have a friendly energy (like a true Hufflepuff), which I hope comes through when I speak.
Audience reviews
“What a magnificent play. I was involved the entire time; I wanted to know what happens next. She is very engaging and real to watch. Hannah was beautifully vulnerable and showed me one way to dust myself and forge on. Very talented young woman.”
Proof that I can pull off glasses and hats (you be the judge).
